Natural Coral Sea Fan Décor

Natural Coral Sea Fan Décor

Add a touch of beautiful scenery into your aquarium with this sea fan leftover from real coral.  With minimal effort & responsibility, this piece of décor can make your tank look more natural instantly!

Coral Sea Fans, AKA Gorgonians and Sea Whips, can be classified as any of the numerous gorgonian corals with a compressed fan-shaped skeleton.  It is a shallow-water species that prefers strong wave action. The fan is created when the colony of polyps orient itself perpendicular to the incoming waves. These can be found all over the world but are more common in the tropics such as the West Indies, Bahamas, the Caribbean, & Florida.

The majority of our stock is the natural brown/black but they do have other colors of white, orange mixed in. These are all natural & therefore every piece will be a little unique and different.  However, each piece will be at least 2-3".

They do offer other benefits to your tank, such as providing grazing spots for your baby  shrimp or to help create a few natural hiding spots for your fish!

These have not been dyed & are safe to put into your tank but are welcome to rinse it off beforehand.  We have seen these last for years in a tank but natural degradation is possible.
